Great stopover for cyclists
Had a lovely stay after our bike ride! Super friendly staff who helped us secure our bikes. The room was spacious and comfy, perfect for a night. Breakfast was pretty good too. Just wish the pub had dinner options on Sundays, but we managed. Fresh milk for tea in the room was a nice touch, though the fridge was a bit loud.

Had a blast staying here with my friends! We enjoyed playing darts and the lively atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable with great showers and fresh milk for our tea. Breakfast was top-notch with hot options. Staff were super friendly and approachable !
One downside was the limited dining hours on Sunday and Monday. it would’ve been great to eat there at night.

I had a wonderful stay at the Shakespeare Inn in Kendal. The check-in process felt warm and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean, with a cozy bed that made for great nights of sleep. I loved the charming decor that reflected local character. it added to the inn's unique atmosphere. Breakfast was delightful, featuring fresh produce and generous portion sizes. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. My only issue was the narrow parking entrance. it required careful maneuvering but was manageable. it didn't detract much from my experience.

It was just a great fit for a brief weekend stay in Kendal with good value for price. The room was spacious with a clean bathroom and had all essential amenities like a kettle and coffee. Be careful with the narrow entrance to the rear car park.

Charming historical building with rustic pub decor creates a cozy atmosphere. The large en-suite room featured Sky TV and essential tea-making facilities, but surprisingly, no Wi-Fi. The included breakfast offered a delightful assortment of freshly baked pastries and local jams, making for a memorable start to the day.
Access to the car park takes you through a particularly narrow entrance, requiring some finesse with the mirrors if you've got a larger vehicle. The towel rail in the bathroom was non-functional, and it got quite chilly in there during my stay. The cleanliness could use some attention, as I found hair and debris on the seating and dusty informational materials. While I enjoyed the quiet location overall, there were occasional disruptive noises early in the morning that could wake a sleeping Wookiee.
